We are currenty recruiting for a Training Consultant in the Dublin 12 Area for a 3 month contract. 
Hours of work: 36 hours a week Monday to Thursday, 8.45 am to 5.00 pm and Friday, 8.45 am to 3.30 pm. Hours may vary from time to time to suit the requirements of the post.
  • Provide training and assessment for clients on installation of gas systems.
  • Make appointments with potential clients to identify employee skills gaps and opportunities for growth and compile proposal documentation to address the needs identified. 
  • Maintain and develop good relationships with clients through personal contact, meetings, email, telephone and all other appropriate media.
  • Design, develop and deliver knowledge transfer and innovation support to local businesses through mentoring, training, workshops, seminars and R&D projects.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of clients and their industry.  This will include liaising with internal colleagues for intelligence gathering to help forecast future needs.
  • Record all activity with employers on the College's systems, as required
  • Develop resources for learning in the area of specialism, ensuring that Technology Enhanced Learning is used where possible.
  • Ensure that all registrations and certification for qualifications delivered under Business Services are completed within the relevant timescale.
  • Engage with external stakeholders including programme funders and DfE officials as required.
  • To provide cover and teach as required on programmes within the relevant school to facilitate other lecturing staff involved in business services projects, training and events.
  • Participate in Staff Development Programmes to ensure that skills are current.
  • Contribute to and participate in college marketing, recruitment and other appropriate events.
  • Participate in Business Services team meetings and in school team meetings, where appropriate.
  • Complete as required all administrative tasks associated with the post.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Have at least 2 years’ industrial experience OR 2 years of delivering training within the last 5 years, in your chosen vocational area.
  • Hold an Ordinary Bachelor Degree in either Building Services / Engineering / Construction discipline.
  • Hold a teaching qualification or be prepared to complete a Certificate of Teaching (CIT) within 2 years of taking up the post.
  • Hold Leaving Certificate, ordinary level English and Maths at Grade A-C.
  • Be a fully qualified gas engineer in both Domestic & Commercial
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Possess excellent administrative, planning and organisational skills.
  • A current driving licence and access to a car or have access to a form of transport that will enable the post-holder to fulfil the role in full.
